Based in Shaftesbury, Dorset (UK), an Access/Excel Developer, Data and Business Analyst and web site developer with a wealth of expertise extending to data analysis, extraction, auditing, mapping, cleansing, manipulating and migration.

Permanently employed for the last 16 years in various roles in a semi-national housing association, I have been continuously called upon to provide technical solutions for business processes, even when this was not my formal role. If the native functions of the software will not provide the answer (frequently they will, but the users simply haven't been trained), then a modest investment in specifying & development will often bring about real benefits. Often too, the latter approach laid on top of the native functions will reduce the time & effort required by users.

Frequently, the real proof of the effect this work is the exclamation of "Wow!" by the users, who no longer dread regular, arduous tasks.

My most recent project was a medium-scale data migration of Informix & SQL Server databases into a single Oracle database.

I formed Cornerplot Business Solutions Ltd in October 2007.

We are currently involved in a database integration as part of a housing association merger, and developing database reports for a dental insurance provider.
